A Boat, Lunch and A Shy Boy!

Last Saturday, we met up with the Kangas's (Brian, Tanya, Judah and Owen) and fit quite a bit into one afternoon! We watched a very large boat get launched into the Willamette River...it made a huge splash. Then it was off to sushi, where Colin showed a different side...shy. The kids had a great time playing together! Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the boat being launched, but I got some good ones of the kids!

Fishing License

Yesterday, Leo went out during naps and purchased a fishing license for Colin. He was so excited when he woke up to find that Dad had gotten him his first license! They signed the bottom (it was more of Leo than Colin, but who's counting), put the license in his pouch and he carried it around all afternoon. He can't wait to go out and "tag" his first official fish!

"I can't do it!"

The other day, Adison and I were in the back yard playing in the sprinkler..."trying" to play in the sprinkler. Adi was having a hard time mustering up the courage to run up to the water! When Colin is around, they both have no fear and run through the sprinkler. But, when he was gone this day, Adi didn't want anything to do with it. She kept say, "I can't do it". She started out at the "on-off" nozzle, then worked her way to the edge of the deck, then to my lap and eventually ran up one time and called it quits! Guess we will have to wait for Colin to play in it again.

The Tent

This is the tent that we pick-up at Costco the other day...it is for a camping trip that we are going on at the end of August. I made Leo get a really large tent, in hopes that it would replace renting a house instead of camping. The reason for that is, I am a little nervous about taking the kids, getting dirty, sleeping outside with all the noises and other people and roughing it for four days. But, Leo is helping me to stretch myself and my boundaries and to let go of the control. For those of you who don't know, I have a problem with control...I need to have it all the time. So, these are our digs for the camping trip...believe it not, I am actually looking forward to it!
