Snowed In

We got about 4 inches of snow the other day and have been sort of "stuck" in our house for the last couple of days. We can leave if we need to, but all of the roads around our house are covered in a sheet of ice...so it has to be really important to for us to get out! The kids and Leo have been taking full advantage of the snow and ice...even breaking out Colin's skies and buying a new sled. I have just been cuddled up in the house with Max...I really enjoy the time alone with him...he is a really sweet baby!

Max's First Week

He is doing a lot of sleeping, eating and filling diapers...that's to be expected! The kids are in love...Adi is the new "mama"...a little too hands on. Colin likes to hold him, if nothing else is going on. Dad can't get enough of him either...staying up with him at night while I get a few hours of sleep.

His Name

So, after much debate over his official name, we signed his birth certificate at the hospital today...and...his full name is...Maxton Allen Stoddard. But, we will most likely just call him Max. We are all home now and settling into life with three kids. I am feeling a little overwhelmed, but my parents are here for a few more days and they are helping out with the big kids.

Max

He's Here!

Max Allan Stoddard arrived this morning at 7:55 am! I thought it was going to take a lot longer, but when my doctor arrived to check and see how far along I was, she said I was ready to push the boy out. And that is exactly what happened...he popped right out...Leo even helped catch him. 7lbs 13oz., 21 inches long...and he looks just like Leo! We are so excited!!!

Amy

P.S. I will post pictures in a little bit!
It's Time

Leo and I headed to the hospital early this morning and Max is starting to make some progress! My doctor should arrive soon and we will go from there. Having a little trouble with pain and the epidural...but that is another post! I am off to get some rest...

Swimming with Nana & Papa

Since the little boy is not coming in the immediate future, we have been trying to fill our time with things that distract us from his arrival! My parents are in town for my Dad's 60th birthday and they were great enough to take the kids swimming at their hotel. Colin showed off his new swimming skills and Adi just kept jumping out into the middle of the water...it really kept my Mom on her toes. My parents even had a race with each other...my Dad says he won by default...Mom grabbed him by his shorts to slow him down.

Latest Update

Nothing is happening at this point...just starting and stopping contractions. We are all tired around here and we'll be going to bed real soon. I will post if anything happens in the night, but I am thinking that maybe we will be waiting until next Friday for the big show.

Amy
Well, I am up from a great nap...those sleeping pills can really pack a punch! Still having contractions, but they have slowed down and nothing seems to be happening. Funny, how I was telling Leo on the way to hospital that I wasn't at all ready for the baby to come. Now, sitting here, I am really anxious for him to arrive soon. I guess I got a little taste of his arrival and now I want to meet him! I will keep you posted...

Amy
So, here is the latest...

Leo and I spent a good three hours at the hospital last night...contractions were strong, consistent, but not getting me any progress. They decided to send me home, 4 centimeters dilated and with a couple of pain and sleeping pills. I am now just waiting to see if labor will pick back up and get going again. My parents are on their way over and now we will just sit and wait! Hopefully I will be posting from the hospital soon...

Amy
I think it's starting...I am headed off to the hospital to see if I am really in labor! My goal is to keep up on posting my progress...we will see how good I do...

Christmas Is Here

No baby yet, but we have decided to get a jump on our Christmas decorating! Adison and I went to our traditional place we get our tree...Fred Meyer. It works out really great for us, cheap, easy and it smells great. I let the kids put up their ornaments first...then rearranged everything when they went off to bed. But, Leo made me take pictures first before my controlling personality kicked in. Notice how all of their ornaments are in one spot. Next year, we have decided to do an all fishing lure Christmas tree!
