Happy Birthday Leo!

For Leo's 29th birthday, yesterday, I planned a little camping adventure to celebrate his special day. We all know that Leo really loves the outdoors, so I thought what better gift to give, than a really short camping trip! The short part kind of benefits me! So, the we packed up all of our camping gear and headed out to "sand island", right there in St. Helens. We picked up Uncle Aaron on the way and got our camping started. Then, we added Aunt Kristen and Keslin. And then Uncle Brian, Aunt Tanya, Judah and Owen made the trek out to do smores with us! With everyone out on the island, Grandpa and Grandma were soon on their way out too. We had a great time around the campfire and the kids got really dirty...they call it sand island for a reason! But, it came time for everyone to leave and I got the kids ready for our one night stay. And when Leo got back with the boat, the wind was blowing so hard and little rain drops were starting to come down, that we packed everything up and left too! The last picture is of the kids watching us grab everything and put it in the boat...notice Colin's face...he was not happy that we were leaving. Needless to say, we had a great time and I think Leo had a great 29th birthday!

Blast From The Past

Check out these videos of Colin that I found the other day. The kids and I were going through all of the old videos and came across the ones of Colin when he was just two years old. I cannot believe how much he has changed in two, almost three years! His face is so cute and chubby...I could look at these videos forever!

It's summer at our house...

We got the bounce house out this past weekend to celebrate it officially being summer! The kids have been begging for the bounce house for the past month, but with all of the rain, our back yard has been a swamp. So, now that things are dry, we are in it about every other hour of the day.

A Typical Stoddard Day!

I always love to read blogs that tell you what a family does for a typical day. So, I decided to track a day for us and give you all an insight!

First, the kids are up around 6:30-7:00am! Sometimes earlier, but we won't talk about those days!! Today we watch a little PBS and had breakfast, while Mom picked up around the house from the night before.

Then, we got ready for the day...the kids picked out their clothes for the most part and Adison's hair got a quick pull back! Today, we remembered to brush our teeth (it must have been the camera).

Next, we headed out to the community center for some exercise and playtime!

After the community center, we stopped by OMSI for some more playtime. I just got a membership, so if anyone is interested in going, call me!

Then, back at home, the kids crashed! I am lucky that both kids still take naps...actually all three of us still take naps.

Once up from our naps, we decided to have our school time. I am using Sonlight Curriculum and the kids and I really enjoy it. Adison attends the "meetings", but likes to just color and bug brother!

Then, the kids played with each other, while I got dinner ready. It wasn't too hard, cause we just had leftovers.

After dinner, Daddy talked us into going to Home Depot with him to pick out some flooring. The kids love to go to there and pick out hundreds of paint samples and bring them home!

After the outing, I threw them into the shower, got their jammies on and they both got milkshakes...courtesy of Daddy! Since this is the last picture, I can say that I put them straight to bed and I followed shortly after. So, there is a day in the life of the Stoddard's!

If You Haven't Heard...

We are having another baby! I can officially say that it can now be public knowledge that we are adding a third to the brew. I say that we a little laugh, because there are quite a few out there that knew a while back...thanks to the kids. Here's the story: I found out we were pregnant in April, but we wanted to wait until I was the magical 3 months. So, I couldn't stand not be able to tell anyone and I wanted to see the reaction of the kids. I told them and they were so excited...they both really want a boy! And I added, "Don't say anything to anyone, Mommy and Daddy want to wait to tell everyone". They were a little skeptical, but nodded their heads and I thought nothing of it. Well, come Adison's birthday party, I look over at Grandma Julie and Adi...Julie has a interesting look on her face. I thought that Adi might have said a bad word, but then Julie looked at me and said, "Adi says that Mommy has a baby in her belly". Well, the rest is history and little by little the cat was let out of the bag. So, now that I am officially 3 months along, I feel that this announcement is warranted. I'm pretty sure that everyone already knows...if you didn't, don't feel bad, the kids were going to tell you sooner or later! The little one should make his/her debut in December. I made this shirt for Adi when I told my parents and sister!
