Visiting Friends



We have some good friends visiting us from Oaxaca, Mexico! Their names are Michael, Charlsie, Micah and Maddie Swadley. They have come to stay with us while the turmoil that is going on in Oaxaca, MX. plays itself out. So, the kids are pretty much the same age...only months separate the boys and the girls..and are having a great time. I am enjoying having another mom around...Charlsie is inspiring me to become more of a cook for my family! And Colin just loves having a live-in playmate!

Car Accident



Last weekend, we were all in a multi-vehicle accident on Hwy 26. We are all ok, but the same cannot be said about our car...it is gone! Here are some of the pictures of what is left of the car before they sent it off to be totaled. Just a reminder, that the roads are really wet these days and pull tight on those car seats before you are put the kids in the car. Colin and Adi were fine in the accident, but it doesn't hurt to remind people to make sure the kid's seats are snug in the car! Another factoid...you also have to throw out car seats if they have been in a major crash (see info at www.nhtsa.gov).

Reunited!!!

Colin and Adison were away from each other for four days this last weekend...both liked the attention and absence from the other. But I knew deep down they both missed each other tremendously...here is the proof! I might need these pictures in the future to remind them of how much they love each other.

My Sister's 30th Birthday Surprise!


This last weekend, my parents and I surprised my sister, Jen, with a trip to Las Vegas for her 30th birthday! My parents drove down to L.A. and kidnapped her and took her to Vegas where Adison, myself and my aunt were all waiting to celebrate her b-day. We had a great time eating, site-seeing and a little gambling...we were all pretty unlucky. I can't believe that my sister is 30...wait, I am only 2 1/2 years behind her!!!!!! How time flies...

Our Friend


This coming Saturday we will be celebrating the life of one of our family's dear friends...Marshall Childers. He passed away this last September and we are having his service on Saturday at our church. I felt like I needed to post his picture and let everyone know that we have lost such a great guy, but learned so much from him...the kids absolutely loved him! We will all miss him very much...God Bless You Marshall!!!

Go Ducks!

This year the kids dressed up like a Duck basketball player and a Duck cheerleader...go ducks! I saw these outfits in the Duck Store last summer and couldn't resist. It does have something to do with me being a third generation Duck for about two terms my freshman year!

Cool Kids!


It seems like everywhere I go someone I know is pregnant...both of my sister-in-law's, three of my high school friends and various friends all around me. So, the question that is always asked of me is, "When are you going to have your next"? Well, there are two things that I would like to have happen before we welcome another Stoddard into our family. First thing is, Leo and I are going on our 5th year anniversary trip to Cancun for two weeks next March and I am going to run the Portland Marathon with a really good friend of mine! Not to mention, the kids are so good at this age...we can travel with them, they sleep through the night (most of the time) and one of them is potty trained. So, it might be a while, but we are definitely looking forward to having more kids in the future! Here are some pics of our "cool kids"!!!
