Here's a story...

So, Leo and I have been keeping an eye out for a new washer and dryer...ours are on their last legs. For the past couple of weeks we have been searching craigslist for a good deal. We kept missing out on opportunities. Then, I saw the "Black Friday" ad in Sears for a new front load washer and dryer for about the same amount we were planning on paying for a used set. So, I volunteered to be at Sears on Friday morning at 4:30 am (the store opened at 5am).

Things went really well...at first! When I arrived at Sears, there was a line wrapped around the store to get in, but nobody noticed the side door...except for myself and a few other people. When the doors opened, we were right by the down escalator and I ended up third in line to get the washer/dryer set! Five minutes later, there were about 100 people in line behind me!

I purchased the set and Leo came to pick me and the merchandise up...we were so excited. We got home and later in the day we set up the new washer and dryer, boy did they look good in our laundry room. I was so pumped to start my first load! I put some clothes in and we decided to do some more shopping and go out for dinner.

Well, when we returned home, we found the washer all the way across the laundry room, water praying from the hoses and flooding everywhere! The washer had spun itself out of control, detaching itself from the water hoses and leaking water everywhere! We quickly stopped the water and cleaned up the mess with all of the towels we could find in the house.

This morning, we tried running another cycle in hopes to figure out what is wrong with the machine. Still, the spin cycle comes on and the washer jumps all over the place. So, I called Sears and asked to speak to the manager...I'm thinking, how could this be happening to a brand new machine. He was so nice and calm with me, telling me to check and see if we took off the shipping bolts? Shipping bolts? What do mean shipping bolts? "We took care of everything", I said. "Well, check one more time and call me back if you can't figure out the problem and we will send someone out to take a look", he said. I go and look behind the washer and what do you know...in a bright yellow sticker, it states, please remove all shipping bolts before use!

I am starting to have a better attitude about whole thing, but the washer still doesn't work ( I think we messed something up by running it without taking those little shipping bolts out!). But, on the bright side, the dryer works great!!

Ok, here goes...

I am very nervous about putting myself out there for all to see, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go through the months of my pregnancy with everyone. I can't believe that it is almost over! We have a scheduled induction...the 12th of December...but I am already dilated and I have a feeling he will be coming within the next week. So, keep looking back at the blog, cause I am going to try to post a step by step progression of the delivery. Though, if I am not feeling up to it, don't hold it against me!

Calling Cousins

The other day, the kids got a phone call from their cousin, Judah. They are so entertaining to watch during their conversations...very important conversations! Adison has the most emotion and flare to her phone calls. Here are two little clips of her and Judah discussing worldly issues...and then it is all over just as quickly as it started!

My Little Girl

Seeing as though Adi will be the only "little girl" around the house when Max makes his arrival, I thought that I would take some time out and celebrate her sweetness. These are the many faces of our girl...who do you think she looks like?

It's Official!

We are adding more cousins to our ever-growing family! Tanya and Brian announced that they will be having a new little one by June of next year. I was pretty excited when she told me...I said, "now we will be pregnant together, again". It is kind of a funny thing in the family, all of the sister-in-law's have been pregnant with each other at one point or another! So, more cousins that will be close in age...what a blessing! Congrats to the Kangas's!!!

Our 5 Year Old!

Can you believe it? I sure am having a hard time believing that we have a 5 year old boy living at our house! Somebody pinch me...ouch, that hurt! Well, Colin celebrated his 5th birthday last week at his favorite place, Chucky Cheese's. It is the best place for an easy birthday party. Just show up, order some food and let the kids run around and have a blast. I also saw some adults having a really good time too! Here are the pictures...
