Fisherman

Leo has been taking Colin to the local pond to catch trout...they stock the pond with "little" fish. So, yesterday he took Colin out for a late afternoon trip and they came home with this trophy winner! Colin was so proud, he couldn't wait to show me and tell me all about it. I was even on the phone with my sister and he ripped the phone out of my hand to tell her how big it was!

Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches...minus the peanut butter!


The other day, the kids put chairs up to the kitchen counter and made some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...Colin's was just jelly because he is allergic to peanuts. I let them spread the jelly and peanut butter onto the pieces of bread, put them together and then cut them into little squares. It took a lot of discipline on my part not to take total control of the sandwich making process, but in the end they had such a ball being "big kids"! They also enjoyed the sandwiches!!!

Introducing...

Owen Asher Kangas and Keslin Alyse Stoddard! My two sister-in-law's graciously added to our fast growing family. Tanya and Kristen both had their little ones these past two weeks...Tanya on Feb. 28th and Kristen on March 9th. We got to see them both last night night at a impromptu family get together! A little side note...Keslin was born while Leo and I were in Mexico, celebrating our 5th Anniversary (March 9th!). We are also celebrating another milestone...Julie's 50th Birthday! (Grandma of 5!!). So amazing having six little kids all around...keeps the grown-ups busy!!

What A Difference A Few Days Make!

The first picture was the view outside of our house on Wednesday, February 28th...the next was the view that Leo and I had two days later in Mexico. We went down to Playa Del Carmen for our 5th Anniversary. We left the kids for 10 days...relaxing and fun, but we really missed them! The kids stayed with my parents in Bend and had too much fun...Adi didn't want anything to do with me for the first 12 hours I was home.
